In January 2006, I ran my first marathon. In the summer of 2006 I completed my first 3 triathlons with the Add Activity Triathlon Club. This past spring (May 2007), I ran my second marathon with the Add Activity Run Club and qualified to run Boston.
Leigh Ann has not only helped me to achieve my goals, but to also have fun while doing it. Her positive attitude, personalized approach, and experience was key, as were the great people who come out to the group training sessions. And the best part? Active in entering my second year (2007) with Add Activity, I decided to do a Half Ironman. What an accomplishment it would be! And it was! Both Shawn and Leigh Ann not only offered and supported a cohesive enviroment but challenged me in ways I didn't think were possible. I am not one for training on my own at this point, so the group environment has been a true enjoyment. The training plan that was created challenged me and totally prepared me for my goal race at Steelhead 70.3. It was here that I impressed myself with an overall Half Ironman finish of 6:18! Shawn and Leigh Ann provided me with everything from injury prevention to fuel intake on race day. Without a proper training program I would not have had these results!
Thank you Leigh Ann and Shawn for hanging in there and allowing me to be myself while still attaining my goal this season. I look forward to next year and having you by my side as I set new goals and adventures!

"After reaching age 50 I decided to take up running and successfully completed my first half marathon in the Spring of 2005. Since than I have been participant in a half-marathon clinic, two Around the Bay (30 k.) clinics and two marathon clinics which LeighAnn has organized. When I started training with Leigh-Ann I was recuperating from knee surgery. I had been on crutches for 10 weeks. I hired her as a Personal Trainer to help me regain proper movement of my leg. I continued working with Leigh-Ann and soon I was strong enough to run for 1 minute at a time and progressed from there to being able to run 3 k non- stop.
With Leigh-Ann's support as a Personal Trainer I felt confident to try a Triathlon. I joined the Add Activity Triathlon Club and began the training. I was able to complete the Sprint Distance Triathlon at Lakeside in less then a year from beginning with Leigh-Ann & Add Activity!.

I would like to thank you for being our coach and friend. I have enjoyed this training session (I think this must be the third or fourth training we have enjoyed together!) You helped all of us to reach new goals and PG’s. Personally, I have not only enjoyed this session, but have improved my strength, speed and endurance a lot. Your training tips, continuous review and support during our runs has helped us all. The weekly long runs with you on your bike reviewing our posture and constantly encourage us has been great. I am running with much better posture than before. And much more efficient, particularly on long runs.
You have changed my idea of FUN. Constantly, you told us we would have fun doing new things. How can more hills, faster speed workouts, and long runs in the city be fun? Well, it was! Sort of? You set new challenges for us each and every week. Even the courses we ran on our long run were interesting as well as challenging.
